Functional Expertise:
Demonstrates mastery of effective facilitation to engage participants including the use of questioning, listening techniques and interventions that foster a safe learning environment.

Designs instructor-led or computer-based training programs, applying sound design and principles and methodologies, to address needs.

Develops and updates instructor-led materials (participant and facilitator guides), develops interactive exercises and creates evaluation measures to ensure learning and transfer of concepts is taking place.

Ensures continuity and alignment of the training curriculum (i.e.; Corporate values, leadership concepts/models, business strategies, etc.)

Assists business partners with documentation of current and new processes resulting from technology, regulatory and business changes.

Conducts training pilot sessions to validate design methodology and provides objective feedback to process consultant and instructional designers for ongoing improvement.

Facilitates train-the-trainer workshops to cross-train colleagues in designated areas of expertise.

Business Acumen:
Understands business processes and issues and how they relate to on-the-job application.

Engaged in ongoing data gathering, data analysis, and problem solving re: key performance and development issues.

Strong project management skills.

Collaborates with Employee Relations, Labor Relations, and business leaders to understand and become familiar with key data that informs AGLR’s leadership/employee development and corporate culture strategies.

Partners with Organization Effectiveness on curriculum and program development to ensure effectiveness and provides feedback of leadership/management programs delivered by external vendors.

Driving Results:
Responsible for providing ongoing support to employees as needed to address performance and development gaps

Accountable for ensuring that learning objectives have been met through the learning solution.

Solicits client feedback on learning solutions to identify trends and performance gaps; develops and presents recommendations for closing gaps end to end.

Contributes to each phase of the learning cycle of needs analysis, course and curriculum design, development, implementation and evaluation.



Education, Certifications/Licenses:
BA/BS in business, adult learning, organizational development or equivalent work experience

Related Work Experience:
5+ years of relevant training experience

Experience in leadership/management training delivery to supervisors and managers

Certification in leadership/management programs (e.g. DiSC, Lominger, Situational Leadership)

Knowledge of the natural gas or utility industry

Specific Skills & Knowledge:
Exceptional presentation and training delivery/platform skills

Excellent facilitation skills in group dynamics

Ability to “think on feet” and create relevant business examples to illustrate key training points

MS Office Suite – intermediate proficiency

Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally with all levels of a diverse organization

Able to work well in a team-based setting

Able to meet very tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Travel up to 30%

Primarily works in an office environment

Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
