Support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Human Capital - Language, Regional Expertise and Culture (HCL) office with associated testing, training and Human Language Technology (HLT) tasks. Candidate will be responsible for providing all related language testing to prospective and current DIA employees, other defense agencies and military members when required; updating relevant databases, and pulling queries. Specific responsibilities include:
(1) Ensure efficient language testing in a fast-paced environment
Coordinate with examinee to determine languages needed to test in, availability dates and any other pertinent information need for scheduling.
Request and coordinate OPI testing with identified vendors.
Confirm testing dates with examinee when tests are scheduled.
(2) Maintain testing database
Enter examinee into the database.
Update database as required (pending, requested, confirmed, and completed with score).
Pull queries weekly.
(3) Maintain schedule
Once test is confirmed, enter examinee data into the schedule to be sent to the Testing Center.
Update schedule as required (additional testing confirmed, no shows, missed, or cancelled).
(4) Other
Maintain OPI capabilities data with current vendor availability.
Maintain DLPT test type data.
Proctor OPIs at DIAC when required.
Qualifications
Degree Requirements: 2 years with BA or equivalent work experience within a foreign language program.
Must have working knowledge of the DoD foreign language program and DIA's role in that program.
Must have understanding of the ILR scale and DoD testing processes and procedures as they pertain to DoD civilians and military personnel.
Must have a working knowledge of DIA's Defense Language Proficiency Test (DLPT); Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI); English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT); and Defense Language Aptitude Battery (DLAB) scheduling and testing processes and procedures.
Must have a working knowledge in administering/proctoring language testing.
Must have experience with Microsoft ACCESS database management and basic understanding how queries are developed and "run".
Must have ability to develop EXCEL spreadsheets and manipulate data to maintain and provide testing schedule on a daily basis.
Must have understanding of DIA's FLPP expiration determination and its impact on test scheduling.
Applicants selected for this position will require an
active
DoD Top Secret clearance, background screening and the ability to obtain a SCI. Applicants selected for a security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information.
