  • Develop & implement new (or improve current) processes ranging in size and scope
  • Investigate, propose & manage large projects (for both current product, as well as long range products)
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing strategy
  • Ensure equipment and product specification, qualification of processes, acquisition and repair of tooling, and ergonomic issues are all optimized to exceed quality, cost, and delivery expectations
  • Act as a liaison with product engineering & manufacturing program management
  • Provide coaching & mentoring for peers
  • Develop rapport with internal and external suppliers and customers

    What you bring to our winning team:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is preferred
  • Strong mechanical as well as "hands on" aptitude
  • Ability to interact & communicate with different functions & various levels of employees
  • Excellent problem solving skills & ability to prioritize projects, required
  • Experience managing capital projects, desired
  • Lean Six Sigma certification, preferred
  • Ability to make independent decisions
  • Ability to manage time effectively as multiple projects must be worked on simultaneously

  • Job Requirements:

    Act as a small business owner and manage your assigned parts & tools to managing the budget. You are the in-house expert of your area(s)! Take advantage of the many resources at your fingertips (i.e., Materials Lab, Heat Treat, Product Development, Procurement and more) and work with them to troubleshoot and solve issues that arise. Because of the wide range of variety you will encounter with projects, this is a great opportunity for you to further expand your manufacturing knowledge. Furthermore, you will use your strong interpersonal communication skills & creativity to lead the initiative in identifying, analyzing and implementing manufacturing processes for both current products as well as new product introductions in an aluminum casting environment.
