Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with experienced technicians to troubleshoot and diagnose engine failures, repair and rebuild Cummins diesel engines in a timely manner and in accordance with published SRT’s
• Assist with removing and installing engines in equipment chassis
• Assist with removing and installing components on engines, in and out of chassis and clean as needed
• Assist with rebuilding engine components
• Become familiar with and perform the administrative functions of documenting the work performed and assist with entering completed written job reports in BMS
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Functional/Technical Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Students must be actively pursuing a diesel technology degree/certificate
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge and understanding of diesel engine theory and operation
• Ability to use computer and windows based programs i.e. Quick Serve On-line, INSITE
• Able to read and follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Must have own tools and toolbox
• Possess a Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history
• Able to read electrical schematics

Physical Requirements:
• Able to lift 25-100lbs, and use proper lifting tools and techniques
• Work will be performed indoors, with occasional outside work
• Bend, stretch, stand, kneel, twist and climb on equipment
• Wear safety equipment at all times and perform all tasks in a safe and efficient manner

• Excellent communication skills (active listening, writing, speaking & telephone)
• Able to develop & maintain effective working relationships with customers and co-workers
