The purpose of this position is to provide food services to residents in a friendly and efficient manner, to ensure compliance with food quality and safety requirements and regulations and to operate and maintain a safe, sanitary food preparation environment in compliance with Kingston policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
2 years experience as a cook in a large-scale food service operation, preferably in a residential setting.
Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
Must be able to lift 30 pounds regularly. This is a physically demanding position requiring the ability to walk, stoop, stand, bend, push and pull, stretch, lift, pivot, grasp and reach. Requires long periods of standing, walking, and physical activity.
Follow menus and prepare and serve food and beverages to residents.
Organize duties to complete tray service in a timely manner
Assure that Kitchen and serving areas and equipment are maintained and santitized per company procedures
Store food in compliance with dietary procedures.
