In this key role, the Dietary Aide works in the kitchen assisting in the preparation and service of food. Related duties include following of a cleaning schedule and transporting food trays to the nursing units.
The qualified candidate must possess a High School diploma or equivalent and at least one year of institutional food service experience. Working knowledge of food handling, preparation and storage techniques that comply with state and federal laws and regulations and appreciation of the importance of food preparation in enhancing quality of life for residents are essential.
