Under the direction of the Dietary Manager, the Cook is responsible for all aspects of meal preparation, meal service and overall food quality according to the planned menu, resident's preferences, and physician ordered therapeutic diets and plans of care. The cook is expected to demonstrate appropriate sanitation and infection control practices to meet State and Federal regulations and oversees the general kitchen operations in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in quantity food preparation in a healthcare setting preferred.
