The primary function of the Digital & Direct Marketing Specialist (DDMS) is to promote HawaiiUSA’s products and services through digital and direct marketing channels. The DDMS uses digital and direct marketing tools to educate members about product/service offerings and financial literacy. Develops new ideas or concepts for marketing programs and campaigns. Participates in company events and inter-departmental projects. Must be knowledgeable in research analysis, Internet environment, survey methods, regulatory compliance, and current business and marketing trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, write, edit, and update content of credit union’s external website. Report statistical data to Digital & Direct Marketing Manager, Marketing Director and other managers, as requested.
Function as an Administrator for credit union’s intranet portal (i.e. activate pages, set-up user accounts, etc.). Write, edit, and update intranet content.
Develop, write, edit, and update content for credit union’s social media channels. Content includes, but not limited to podcasts, articles, images, and videos.
Work with other business units to provide support in online and digital communication (i.e. statement messages, on-hold messages, etc.).
Administer email marketing program. Report statistical data to DDM and Marketing Manager. Assist DDM with development of digital and direct marketing campaigns and promotions, as well as annual and multi-year marketing plans. Day-to-day duties include developing email copy, templates, managing email address databases and reporting campaign data.
Maintain awareness, understanding and working knowledge of laws and regulations, developments and trends within the credit union, marketing, and ecommerce industries, particularly in the area of digital and direct marketing.
Assist with Marketing Department’s total quality control efforts across all channels, specifically digital and direct marketing channels. Primary focus is on maintaining content accuracy and compliance and ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
Administers monthly paper and electronic surveys and biannual credit union survey. Reports statistical data to Vice President – Marketing for analysis as requested.
Assist with all technical aspects of video production, including planning video shoots, camerawork, video editing, and other required jobs to produce videos. Develop and maintain video library of all marketing videos.
Promote credit union products and services to youth market including programs within the Student Operated Credit Union.
Assist DDM with coordination of marketing research (e.g. surveys, focus groups), establishing benchmarks and best practices, analyzing results and administering testing.
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
Work collaboratively with marketing team members to create and distribute educational and promotional material and collateral (i.e. print ads, brochures, posters [static and multimedia], letters and newsletters to include graphic design, layout and text requirements. Projects a positive and consistent image of the credit union in all materials.
Actively and continuously study and analyze industry market trends and data to enable data-driven decision making for business improvement.
Performs other duties as assigned
Education: Baccalaureate degree in marketing, business or a related field, or Journalism or Mathematics, or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to satisfactorily perform the essential job functions.
Experience: Experience in marketing, graphic design, advertising, copywriting and editing, and internet based applications preferred.
Ability to concept, manage, optimize and update an organization's website and to successfully create and execute other online and offline marketing efforts.
Proven experience in developing promotional campaigns, particularly with direct mail and email channels.
Background in social media engagement strategy and tactics.
Marketing research and analysis background preferred.
