Digital Direct Response Associate Director

The Digital Associate Media Director leads a team of specialists in lead generation tactics such as co-registration, display, email and affiliate programs to develop and implement strategic plans. Ensures staff builds expertise and competencies to bring effective ideas and drive strong results for clients. Effectively identifies client needs and appropriate solutions.

Core Responsibilities:
Defines media strategy and tactics, creates plans
Builds strong relationships
Develops and retains the best media people
Grows Revenue
Establishes direction for media plans to ensure a completely integrated communication plan
Understands and is involved with all elements of communication plan (Integrates concepts seamlessly with creative product and client’s marketing plans)
Writes presentations to sell-in ideas, plans
Leads negotiation with the media; acts as counsel, resource and facilitator as needed
Vigorously reviews all work to ensure high quality standard
Communicates with buying, research, other agencies and other internal teams to bring our best thinking forward
Viewed as a valuable resource who can be called on to proactively generate outstanding ideas
One of the primary developers and guardians for client’s “media services” relationship
Challenges the sales community to bring best ideas to Novus first
Recognizes value of maintaining solid working relationships with suppliers
Leads, motivates and educates team, driving best practices and innovation; ensures each team member receives appropriate feedback on a timely basis
Oversees staffing needs and manages resources effectively

Leadership

Provide direction and support to team, consistent with company and client goals
Strong team builder, collaborates closely with client, cross-capability teams and partner agencies within OMG

Participate in network events and conferences to develop positive relationships in the industry

N e w business development and selling skills
  • Develop robust case studies showcasing unique strengths
  • Create presentation materials for potential clients that reference relevant big ideas and best in class case studies
Fiscal responsbility
  • Ownership of client revenue forecasting and P&L
Qualifications:
  • Flexible and highly organized, able to handle multiple projects in a fast paced environment
  • Strong writing, communication and analytical skills
  • Dependable, thorough and a keen ability to meet deadlines for assigned tasks
  • Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge in 3rd Party Ad Servers (DART, Atlas, etc.) and online research tools (Nielsen, @Plan, AdRelevance, Comscore, etc.) a plus
  • BA/BS in marketing, communications or related field
  • 5-7 years of digital direct response media planning/buying experience. Background in lead generation tactics such as email, co-registration, cpa-based display
