Position Title: Digital Media Coordinator (INTERNAL)
Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Digital Media Coordinator will assume a leadership role in researching and testing current and emerging multimedia technologies, and is responsible for planning, development, and support of the college's student focused digital media facilities and services. The Digital Media Coordinator manages all campus student media lab as well as provides management services for some departmental labs as requested. The Digital Media Coordinator will supervise a staff of full and part-time employees that provides multimedia services to support faculty and students. The Digital Media Coordinator works with other members of the Academic Technology team to support faculty and students in their use of technology in teaching and learning. This is a college-wide position.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience working with industry standard equipment and software is required. Minimum of one (1) year teaching/training experience. Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Film or similar field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
The successful candidate must have a superior knowledge of digital video hardware and software, cameras, assorted lighting and audio-recording equipment.
Position requires experience with Mac OS and Apple hardware, Adobe Creative Suite-Flash, Dreamweaver, PhotoShop, Final Cut Studio, and Logic Studio.
Candidate must be able to learn new information quickly.
Candidate must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work with technicians, faculty, and students to assist in the creation of inter-disciplinary multi-media works of art.
Must be available to work some evenings and weekend hours as needed.
This position requires local travel. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus and between campuses. Ability to lift up to 25 (twenty-five) pounds. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.

Position may require non-standard work hours (nights and weekends).
