We’re looking for a Senior Digital Media Planner who will assist in researching, planning, and executing paid search, display and programmatic buying platforms advertising campaigns, along with providing analytical data on campaigns. The Senior Digital Media Planner will work closely with the Director of Performance Marketing, supporting marketing team, and agency stakeholders to deliver positive ROI campaigns that exceed clients’ goals.
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or Statistics
3+ years of digital agency experience with paid search, premium display, programmatic buys/RTB platforms and other digital media channels
Certification with Google & Bing
High proficiency with Microsoft Excel (Microsoft Access a plus)
Third-party ad serving, tracking and reporting expertise
(DoubleClick, Atlas, Marin Software, Kenshoo, comScore, Nielsen or similar products)
A proactive, self-starter who can balance quality with speed and agility
Strong multi-tasking skills and ability to organize and prioritize task list
Confidence in his/her ability to report, analyze and act on data in a timely manner
A problem solving and scientific mindset
Strong ability to perform independently within a team environment
Know the meaning of “Art and Science” and would welcome a friendly debate of the subject
Monitor and analyze performance of media campaigns across paid search, display networks, paid social, video and programmatic platforms
Maintain accountability for the quality, strategy, and integrity of media plans/strategies/services delivered
Plan media buys under the strategic direction of the media director
Work with media planning, account service and creative teams to determine what specific needs are for interactive advertising
Utilize available interactive media planning tools (i.e., comScore, Forrester and other industry research, client's historical media activity reports) to develop interactive media plans
Present media plans directly to clients who may, or may not, have expertise in interactive media
Negotiate with interactive media vendors and provide a final negotiated recommendation to the client
Monitor and optimize media campaigns via third-party ad serving software, having daily, weekly and/or monthly campaign performance meetings internally and reporting results to client
Develop POVs as needed in response to client and planning team requests
Plan and implement interactive media campaigns including: CPM, CPC and CPL media placements
Set up automated bid management tools within engines and ad servers
Develop PPC campaign structure, optimize keyword research/bidding, keyword management and landing page testing, as well as analyze campaign data to deliver maximum ROI
Keep up-to-date with the latest industry services and trends to implement best practices
Possess analytical insight to understand impact of performance data across multiple marketing media
Perform various additional duties as assigned
