Digital Media Supervisor Overview

The Digital Media Supervisor acts as a central contact for online media strategy and execution. The supervisor is responsible for directing workflow on assigned accounts and managing and training the team of planners and assistants working across a variety of channels including but not limited to desktop display (site direct and/or platform), mobile, social and gaming. Media Supervisors assist in building client relationships and oversee day-to-day projects to ensure that deliverables are met.

  • Lead in development of strategic media plans based on client objectives
  • Oversee platform and site-direct planners to ensure they are effectively acting on behalf of clients
  • Ensure media deliverables are met and align with client goals/objectives/budgets
  • Effectively motivate staff, evaluate performance and provide feedback on productivity in an effort to develop and train Planners and Assistants for advancement
  • Work with Account, Analytics, Production and offline planning teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Plan/prioritize team workloads and delegate responsibilities accordingly
  • Demonstrate industry knowledge/expertise across all media channels
  • Ability to sell department capabilities to account and offline media teams
  • Maintain client relationships
  • Oversee billing/invoicing process for designated accounts
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of online media planning/buying in an agency environment (multi-channel a plus)
  • Knowledge of media research tools and how to effectively utilize them (i.e. Comscore, @Plan, AdRelevance, etc)
  • Solid understanding of various platform media and RTB technologies
  • Confidence in presenting to clients and colleagues
  • Ability to translate marketing goals into media objectives and strategies
  • Strong understanding of campaign performance metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Ability to manage time efficiently by multitasking and prioritizing workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Management experience
