The Digital Product Manager (DPM) will drive the conceptual and technical development of digital product initiatives from beginning to end and collaborate with multiple teams throughout the company to deliver best-in-class products. They will work to set and negotiate business priorities with various stakeholder groups within Independent Health.
DPMs will translate, author and communicate the business requirements and strategies to all parties (vendors, IT, Marketing, PR, etc). This associate will act as the business owner to plan, coordinate resources, determine budget, and monitor product (or project’s) success. DPMs will also work with Independent Health’s e-Business team to help shape the companywide e-business strategy and specific e-business related initiatives for that organization.
The DPM’s role is responsible for overseeing and managing multiple capability enhancements in parallel for all (or part of one) of our digital properties.
Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
5+ years of Product Management experience required. This includes:
Ability to lead multiple cross-functional teams on complex projects simultaneously
- Experience authoring and documenting business requirements and/or product requirement documents
- Managing initiatives through all phases of a project/development lifecycle (Initiation/Analysis through Implementation)
Demonstrated skills in organizing resources and establishing priorities.
Experience working with, and especially managing, third party vendors who provide applications or support services
Demonstrated experience initiating new ideas and influencing partners or clients to pursue those ideas.
Prior experience developing solutions to drive user engagement, customer experience, and/or customer acquisition, especially in a Web context.
Demonstrated business acumen, to include understanding of business concepts, philosophies, functions, terminology, and relationships.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), with proven ability to build relationships and work with associates across multiple business areas.
Prior experience in the health care industry is preferred. Maintains confidentiality and uses only the minimum amount of protected health information (PHI) necessary to accomplish job related responsibilities.
