Job Responsibilities:

This position is located in the Food Service Unit of the University Memorial Center ( UMC ) at the University of Colorado at Boulder. This position is responsible for the day to day operation of the Alferd Packer Grill at the University Memorial Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder. This position provides supervision of classified staff and student employees by assigning job tasks, determining time frames for task completion and instructing and training employees. This is a front of the house position that requires expertise in staff supervision, quality control, cash handling, administrative duties and ability to think on your feet. Additional duties include performing all regular dining services duties such as cashiering, serving, cooking, stocking, bussing, setting up service and display counters, as well as labor cost control and administrative duties such as payroll, processing leave requests, auditing timecards, editing Micros, updating handbooks and reviewing cashier reports and labor reports.

Note: This is a full-time, year-round management and supervisory position with majority of hours worked Monday – Friday 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. However, this position also requires availability for occasional weekends and evenings as determined by special events and business needs.

Salary and Benefits:
Pay Grade (L11) – $3,093 monthly salary.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a current Colorado resident in order to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:
Four years of full-time equivalent retail food service or restaurant food service experience, which includes experience in food preparation and supervision.

Necessary Special Qualifications:
Must be able to perform labor that requires lifting/maneuvering up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 frequently and 20 pounds constantly.
