- Job Summary
- The employee is responsible for the planning, organizing,and managing Medical Information Servicess in such a manner that the Hospital's goals and objective are achieved. Responsible for assuring integrity of medical records to assure internal consistency and completeness, for release of information to appropriate agencies and for the coordination of chart availability for direct patient care, physicians, auditors, committees and other reviewing agencies.
- Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Records or Health Information Management and an active RHIA certification.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience supervisory experience in a hospital Medical Record environment (Assistant Director or Director or equivalent). Electronic Medical Records experience is required.
