Overview:
The

Director of Pricing

is responsible for managing the development of all prices that will be delivered to Asurion’s client across all products. This role is responsible for the process, strategic and analytic aspects of developing pricing solutions. Additionally, the Director of Pricing will be expected continuously improve the pricing function through analysis, process improvement, and strategic review. This role reports to the Vice President of Pricing Strategy and Value Creation.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage the workflow of pricing requests across all projects, prioritizing client and product team requests, and allocating pricing team resources against various pricing initiatives

Serve as the intellectual leader of the pricing function; advice the product and client organizations as well as the executive team on pricing strategy and the interplay between pricing and product design, offer strategy

Manage pricing team resources, and ensure that pricing recommendations are developed with analytical and intellectual rigor, taking into account cost and competitive considerations, and well as overall company strategy. Exercise the right balance between market pricing and value pricing to meet strategic and client specific objectives

Direct the synthesis of pricing analysis into concise recommendations and materials for delivery to the executive team. Present recommendations to the executive team on a weekly basis, facilitating debate among the senior team and driving the team to a consensus decision on the general pricing strategy as well as specific prices

Manage a wide variety of stakeholders in the pricing development phase; leverage input from finance, product, client, operations, and other teams to drive to optimal pricing recommendations

Manage the development of new tools and approaches to improve pricing. Adjust pricing rules and processes to changing business conditions and review the optimality of past pricing decisions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred

8-10 years of business experience or three to five years of post-MBA experience

Business experience working in an analytic capacity in fields such as management consulting, risk management, marketing analytics, or financial analysis

Ability to interact with senior management; strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to synthesize information into key messages appropriate for the audience

Intellectual curiosity and interest in using data to drive decisions;

Significant experience using Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and/or business

Strong team management skills, experience in mentoring and developing a team

Licensing:
This position may require that you hold a valid insurance license. Failure to pass the insurance license exam or an inability to obtain or maintain the required license(s) will result in forfeiture of the position.

If you are not currently licensed, but have taken and failed the insurance licensing exam or have otherwise been unable to complete the licensing application process

you will not be considered for this position.
