Lead IDI Business Unit operations (distribution system support, underwriting and policy issue, and policy service) to support acquisition and servicing of business so that we achieve customer service, profit and growth goals.
Lead IDI Operations and Underwriting to support the IDI Business Unit’s and Company’s customer service, profit and growth goals. Collaborate with the other members of the IDI Leadership Team (LOB Head, Actuary, Sales Head on all policy decisions..) The position collaborates with operations departments as well as relationships to the critical operation functions taking place outside the business unit such as Commissions and Contracting, Mail, etc.
Build and maintain the infrastructure of services and interfaces needed to meet and exceed IDI customer expectations. Continually monitor needs as they change and adjust infrastructure accordingly.
Work effectively with all departments within the IDI business unit and outside to create a business driven, partnering environment. These include IDI Sales, EB Sales, Corporate Marketing, Actuarial, Legal, Claims, Commissions and Contracting, IT, HR, and others.
Set service standards for all customer interactions; then meet and exceed those standards. Create customer feedback mechanisms to continually monitor and adjust performance to position the business unit and the company as a differentiated leader in the IDI market through actions, results and promotion.
Invest in and develop human capital. Increase diversity. Create a performance based, incented workforce. Lead by example. Reflect corporate philosophies and stature.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in Individual Insurance, or financial services industry; minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in a management position demonstrated experience in successfully managing a multi-function organization; strong background in Standard insurance Company products and services preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
