Direct Care Workers perform a full range of personal care services, allowing people with disabilities to live independently in the comfort of their own homes. Services can include bathing, grooming, bowel programs, housekeeping, cooking, and the use of Hoyer lifts.

Choices People Supporting People is the parent company of Alleghenies United Cerebral Palsy and Alleghenies Unlimited Care Providers.
What are the benefits to becoming a Direct Care Worker?
In addition to promoting independence and changing lives, Direct Care Workers receive a starting wage of $8.50 per hour weekdays and $11.00 per hour weekends and holidays. We also offer competitive benefits which include vacation time, 401(k), Vision, Dental, and Life Insurance for employees working more than 20 hours per week.
-You must be 18 years or older.
-Have dependable transportation and a valid Driver's License.
-Pass all background checks, FBI criminal and child abuse clearances, and drug screenings.
-Be able to lift 50-75 pounds for transferring.
-Be able to complete our 5-day orientation in our Johnstown or Duncansville office.
-Be available to work every other weekend and rotating holidays.
