Description of Duties:
•Close group and/or individual sales.
•Generate contacts and appointments.
•Present EmblemHealth, including joint venture products, to prospective contractors and members by telephone and/or in person.
•Advise manager on status of prospective business account development strategies, competitive intelligence, and all other appropriate information necessary to develop sales opportunities and grow enrollment.
•Represent EmblemHealth at various functions, including sales presentations, health fairs, seminars, dinners, etc.
•Respond to inquiries, including those conveyed by telephone, writing, and on-site inquiries from, among others, prospective clients.
•In a timely and accurate manner, maintain records, prepare reports and written correspondence, direct materials, complete forms and documents.
•Associate’s degree in Business Administration or Marketing or related field.
•Prior sales or telemarketing experience.
•Knowledge in pricing and underwriting, financial arrangements, benefit programs and utilization management.
•Must obtain NYS Health/Life Agents License within 60 days of appointment to the position and must maintain that license in good standing throughout employment.
•Prior experience in health insurance industry.
•Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal and written communications skills required; high degree of professionalism necessary.
