About Us.Wildwood Programs provides quality educational, residential, vocational, social, recreational and therapeutic services to more than 200 students and over 800 adults in the Capital District. Each day over 600 full and part time teachers, therapists, social workers, teachers' aides, residence and vocational counselors, job coaches and direct support professionals give their very best to ensure that the individuals whom Wildwood serves, receive the supports they need.
This is a full-time position. Shifts are:
We are looking for dynamic individuals to help promote independence, self-esteem and community integration in people's lives. DSP- (Residential Counselors) work with adults with developmental disabilities living in community residences. Assist with daily living skills, helping to prepare meals, transporting and other activities. This is a direct care position.
- Wednesday-Saturday and Sunday-Wednesday
- Shifts include: 24hr blocks ;40 hrs including evenings and 24hr shift; and 10hr days
Requirements: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Medication Administration based on program need, First-Aid and CPR certification or eligibility for certification. SCIP/PROMOTE certification based on program need.
A valid NYS driver's license and ability to drive and driving record acceptable for agency insurance coverage are required. Must be cleared and maintain acceptable record under the NYS OPWDD mandated criminal background check process.
Wildwood requires applicants to have valid work authorization documentation to apply and employees those who are legally authorized to work.
