The Building Coordinator assures adequate staffing ratios are maintained in each apartment. Visit and audit the apartments using the Active Treatment training tool. They assist the Unit Director and Home Team Leaders to ensure the staff are meeting the needs of the individuals served. The Building Coordinator works cooperatively with the campus coverage coordinators to ensure campus coverage needs are met. Ensures scheduling of staff for annual training. Assists in ensuring habilitative training supplies are available to persons served. Performs routine habilitative and rehabilitative client care work as needed in critical coverage situations. Work involves providing crisis intervention, personal care services, and treatment programs and instruction adaptive behavior to clients as needed. Assists in transporting individuals to clinics, excursions, etc.. The Building Coordinator is the hiring authority for the shifts at all buildings under her/his responsibility and is responsible for retention, recruitment and corrective actions. Building Coordinator serves as the "Reports to" supervisor in Access HR for the staff under his/her responsibility. Work involves providing crisis intervention, personal care services, and treatment programs and instructing adaptive behavior to clients as needed. Assists in transporting individuals to clinics, excursions, etc

Essential Job Functions:
Monitor the performance of others in providing direct habilitative services. Performs routine habilitative and rehabilitative client care work as needed in critical coverage situations. Work involves providing crisis intervention, personal care services, and treatment programs and instructing adaptive behavior to clients as needed. Help people maintain optimal health and provide a safe environment for self, persons served and others. helps people maintain a clean living environment, including home work area, vehicles, personal possession and assistive devices and ensure everthing is in proper working order. Assists people to have choices in services, treats people with respect and dignity and helps indviduals to exercise his/her rights. Accurately and timely completes documentation and protects confidential information of persons served. Ensure that Homes have adequate staff on duty at all times. takes corrective and adverse action according to positive Performance Management and agency rules. Provides ongoing, effective and useful performance feedback to staff. Prepares evaluations that accurately reflect employee achievements and abilities and are cdompleted on time.

Knowledge Skills Abilities:
One Year (1) of experience working with developmental disabilities. Knowledge of ICFMR requirements, Computer Skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience doing Coverage.

Registration or Licensure Requirements:
None

Initial Selection Criteria:
One Year (1) of experience working with people with developmental disabilities. One Year (1) Supervisor experience. Has computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Has experience using Access HR with employees currently supervised. Six Months (6) experience with doing unit coverage utilizing Microsoft Office Excel Program.

Additional Information:
Flex in work hours maybe required for this position. The position may be required to work overtime and or extended hours. All employees are subject to random drug testing. New employees must attend orientation on a 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday schedule during their first two weeks of employment. Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency’s obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location.
