VersionOne is looking for the right person to lead and grow the Account Development Team. The Director of Account Development is to lead, coach and train a team responsible for generating, prospecting and qualifying leads that drive pipeline for the VersionOne sales team. The Director will also be responsible for overall strategy and metrics to make sure the team is hitting/exceeding monthly quotas. This role is not only critical, but an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to be a key part of the management team as well as be responsible for one for the top initiatives for VersionOne’s success and growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and drive strategy for the Account Development team
  • Manage, train, and coach Account Development Specialists (up to a team of 10 Reps)
  • Ensure the team meets monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
  • Build and ensure strategic alignment with Sales and Marketing teams
  • Work closely with leadership to develop consistent goals and direction
  • Development of messaging, scripts, and overall process creation
  • Lead the adoption of sales tools, process, and SLAs within Account Development, Sales, & Marketing
  • Manage data resource to make sure SalesForce.com has data that can be leveraged for territory planning, targeting, and trend management
We are looking for someone with energy and passion, process oriented yet creative and understands that it is all about the team and the success of VersionOne. In addition, the ideal candidate will have the following:
  • At least 5 years’ experience in creating, leading, and coaching Account Development teams
  • Experience in a quota carrying environment (creating quotas, comp plans, etc.)
  • Ability to work closely with Executive team as well as key players within the organization to execute on strategic initiatives
  • A self-starter that is highly motivated, driven, and willing to take risks
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, can handle change well
  • Willing to work in a fast pace environment
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, highly collaborative
  • Great aptitude and a passion to learn more everyday
  • Knowledge or experience with Agile project management a plus
  • Experience with SalesForce.com, InsideView, DiscoverOrg, and Data.com a plus
  • Marketing experience a bonus
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
