This position directs an asset management team to develop, implement and refine the asset management strategy for Power Delivery. Provide leadership and innovation to plan and direct timely and effective distribution asset strategies to achieve infrastructure and maintenance plans consistent with corporate, safety, and system performance objectives. Directs the development and integration of engineering, standards, distribution automation, reliability, and asset management to create optimal life cycle management of physical assets to maximize value and improve utilization and performance of distribution assets. Leverage an asset register and utilize risk based maintenance based on condition and criticality to provide strategic direction on targeted investment planning to the distribution system and partner with internal stakeholders to improve our distribution assets. Oversee, deploy and integrate highly secure, automated infrastructure that improve system efficiency and reliability gains. Document, update and articulate best practice asset management and reliability standards. Manage asset risks and support regulatory and internal obligations through reporting and expertise within the work group. Contribute to achieving confidence of regulatory stakeholders with respect to management of assets. Initiate, manage and correlate key performance indicators around priorities and improvement initiatives and modify strategies based on outcomes.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor’s degree Engineering (Electrical Engineering preferred) and extensive experience (approximately ten or more years of related experience) in electric distribution operations and/or asset management and proven experience managing a multidiscipline team. Broad electric utility background with demonstrated experience in some or all the following including asset management, capital and O&M investment prioritization, risk management & criticality, condition or reliability-centered maintenance, asset analytics and system modeling tools. This position serves as technical expert and leader for asset management and distribution automation technology and strategies. Additional proven experience in developing long term strategy, managing teams for strategy implementation, establishing operational goals and metrics to measure overall performance and develop high performing teams and leaders is very important to successfully perform in this role. The appropriate combination of education and experience will be considered for this role.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
Candidate will have knowledge and experience in electrical engineering, field operations, distribution construction practices, reliability, standards and use of distribution automation. Working knowledge with distribution management related systems, distribution power system data (PI), outage management (OMS), geographic information system (GIS) and Smart Grid technology. Candidate must be able to lead a diverse team with the ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem solving environment. Candidate must be able to identify, recommend and tactically convey to others optimal work practices, business processes and technology. Strong ability to identify and resolve conflict, provide alternatives, and deal with pressure and difficulty resulting from administrative or technical issues related to people, process and technology. Candidate must have excellent leadership, management, and engagement skills. Candidate must possess comprehensive skills in computer applications and have demonstrated experience in end-to-end implementation methodology. Working knowledge of Windows, word processing, databases, spreadsheets and MS Project required. Candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present information to other work groups in a concise manner. Must be able to work effectively with others in a team environment and build relationships with all customers and work groups through strong client interaction.

Valid driver’s license required.
Normal office working conditions and occasional overnight travel. Must have a satisfactory work record including excellent attendance.
