General Description:
Under limited direction, responsible for financial analysis in support of the goals and objectives of OU Medical System.

Essential Functions/Duties:

Responsible for providing high level analysis related to service line opportunities for financial improvement, business and strategic planning, and business development. Provide operational analysis related to various financial indicators including labor productivity and profitability analysis. Reviews, interprets and analyzes financial and statistical data, develops reports and makes recommendations with the intent of improving business performance, financial reporting and goal achievement of OU Medical System. Will also have assigned duties in financial reporting, budgeting and general accounting.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. MBA or MHA preferred

Experience: Four years of experience in hospital finance-related role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated knowledge in the principles of finance, and financial reporting, cost-benefit analysis, strategic planning and business development in the healthcare setting. Ability to analyze complex financial issues to accomplish established goals and objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all level of the organization. Excellent computer skills especially related to applicable financial analysis and reporting software. Ability to communicate complex financial information in a manner appropriate for intended audience. Ability to manage multiple assignments with changing or conflicting priorities.

Physical Requirements (with or without accommodations):
Work is performed in an office environment. Requires ability to sit for long periods of time. Requires sufficient visual acuity to perform essential functions of the positions. Requires sufficient eye-hand coordination to operate computer and other office equipment. Requires verbal presentation skills. Requires ability to travel to various locations on campus as well as to other facilities. May occasionally be required to lift or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
