Responsibilities /Responsabilités:
  • Prospecting: source candidate partners for Technicolor businesses and initiatives across the media-technology ecosystem
  • Development: contribute to the development and implementation of partnerships, including commercial engagements and investments, as appropriate
  • Portfolio management: monitor, report on, and coordinate actions around Technicolor’s minority interests in technology companies
  • Needs Assessment: engage with executives across Technicolor business units to assess partnership needs and areas for collaboration
  • Tracking: build and maintain a data store of prospective partner and key executive profiles, including monitoring of news and key activities
  • Development: participate in the generation of new Technicolor business initiatives, including the evolution of core activities and the development of new, standalone businesses
  • Represents Technicolor to the media-technology community, from start-ups to established players, and initiates the process of formalized engagement, which may take any number of forms
  • Engages directly with senior management to recommend prospective partnerships and collaboration opportunities
  • Manages the technology investment portfolio, including direct engagement with the portcos as needed
  • Contributes to the development of new businesses and related investment decisions, in coordination with Strategy, M&A, and colleagues in CP&V
  • Contributes to a culture of innovation through demonstration of an entrepreneurial mindset and agile practices
Qualifications / Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years experience in a relevant sector of the media-technology landscape (digital and/or traditional media production, post-production, and/or distribution; consumer premises equipment, telco/cable/satellite)
  • Functional focus on business development, partnership development, strategy, and/or media product/service management
  • Key skills: Presentation (formal and interpersonal), financial analysis, contract negotiation, business modeling, navigation of complex organizations
  • Possess a strong understanding of the media-technology landscape dynamics - its key players, economics, and technologies. Perspective on the trends impacting media production, distribution and monetization models is critical
  • Ability to travel, excel within a global, multi-cultural organization
  • Bachelor’s degree required. MBA strongly desired
