Ultimately responsible for the overall quality of all Crestron products ensuring each and every product meets the expectations of the customer.
By making sure each customer has a positive experience with our products, this individual will protect the Crestron brand.
Develop an overall comprehensive quality strategy to help drive excellence across all products and disciplines.
Serve as a Change Agent to transform the current Quality Control organization into a world class Corporate Quality Assurance team.
Engineer a modern day, proactive, strategic and customer focused quality assurance system.
Oversee all aspects of quality for Crestron Electronics including but not limited to the following aspects:
Supplier Quality Engineering
Internal manufacturing quality control
In-process quality assurance
Customer quality assurance
Using techniques such as statistical process control, develop methods to ensure raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods all meet or exceed specifications.
Develop a scorecard system with Crestron suppliers. This system should reward exemplary quality performance, and remove suppliers who are not meeting Crestron’s quality expectations and requirements.
Work closely with the Design team to ensure products are designed for quality. Demand that product specifications are generated, and adhered to.
Implement a comprehensive root cause, corrective and preventative action plan
Partner with the supply chain team to ensure Crestron secures competent and robust manufacturing partners and suppliers.
Coach, mentor and lead highly dynamic team members to help achieve the requirements of this position as well as the individual career goals of team members.
Develop and maintain relationships with:
Stockroom and warehouse employees and management
Supply Chain team
Raw material suppliers (Sheet metal, plastic, PWB, electronic components)
Contract Manufactures and OEM suppliers
Customer support, Advanced Technical Services and Aftermarket Services teams
Design Engineering (Mechanical and Electrical)
Compliance and Design Quality Engineering
Must have a proven track record managing the quality of a $750m+, electronic manufacturing enterprise.
The candidate must show that he or she is capable of managing a dynamic business, and has successfully scaled an operation to handle growth and shrinkage.
Must have managed large teams in excess of 100 people and have been able to grow the team’s capabilities through training and recruiting.
The successful applicant will illustrate that he or she has changed a quality organization so as to improve quality, but most importantly, improve the customer experience.
This candidate must have the direct experience at changing the culture and creating an organization that focuses on quality first, above all other initiatives.
Skills and Education Requirements:
This candidate must be a positive, optimistic, confident individual with an emphasis on leadership by example. Must be able to forge relationships with internal and external organizations and earn their respect. The candidate must have a high energy level, but able to focus that energy into mentoring, training and enhancing the organization.
Must have worked in a role with a major focus on Quality Engineering, Quality Management or Quality System development for a minimum of 10 years.
Must possess a bachelors degree in Engineering (BSME, BSEE, BSQA or equivalent). Masters degree strongly preferred.
Must have one of the following certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, ASQ Certified Quality Manager, ASQ Certified Reliability Engineer, or Six Sigma Black Belt (from an accredited issuer).
