(Multiple locations: New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas)
This role is focused on delivering new demand to the OpenX platform from agencies and advertisers in the assigned region. The candidate must be able to identify opportunities, build strong relationships, educate prospective clients and close deals. The person will also be expected to grow demand from existing clients. The person will be expected to contribute ideas to the company’s overall strategy and product offerings for agencies and advertisers. Prospect, close and grow relationships with agencies and advertisers within the assigned region to accelerate demand for OpenX’s platform, publisher inventory and services, including an RTB trading desk and emerging offerings in the areas of programmatic premium and mobile
Meet and exceed quarterly revenue targets and business KPIs for the assigned region
Participate in the development of agency focused marketing strategies and sales materials
Gather feedback and study the market to identify potential business opportunities and partnerships
Maintain clear communication with clients regarding expected deliverables
Represent OpenX to the agency community through participation in industry events and client entertainment activities
BS/BA degree; MBA desired
At least 5 years experience in a sales or business development role selling online advertising or digital technology to agencies, advertisers, ad networks, DSPs or similar clients at a senior level
Proven track record of prospecting, pitching and closing opportunities and exceeding sales targets
Extensive rolodex of contacts at digital agencies, national brands and/or large mobile buyers
Strong understanding of the online ad industry, ad targeting and optimization through DSPs
