Job Summary :|
This position will play an integral role in expanding the capabilities of our internal Light Engine team through collaboration and direction of external suppliers and partners. As we seek to grow our business through innovative, customer valued features within the engine, there will be a direct need to pull in the broader design capabilities of our component suppliers (eg LED’s, connectors, etc) as well as more sophisticated system design partners (eg Minibea – Apple supplier) to expand our portfolio more rapidly. The advantage here is that we will leverage Acuity’s market size and reach to enable external resources to aid in this rapid movement forward vs. organically growing the internal bandwidth. This allows flexibility on a project by project basis without any radical SG&A additions. In addition, this position will be responsible to help coordinate the architecture of internal systems to integrate both controls and drivers more closely into the engine design process.
Job Responsibilities :
Develop, grow, and sustain key strategic and technical partnerships Program management of multiple projects (both internal and external) Intra-company coordination of system architectures and interfaces with engines (controls, drivers) Direct the integration of innovative electronic controls and communication into LED Engines Direct the proliferation of robust and cost-effective platforms across product portfolio Establish a solid process infrastructure for LED engine design and validation Create a robust NPI manufacturing sign-off plan for electronic LED systems Leadership in industry and government activities that may shape LED systems architecture
Minimum Requirements include:
- BS/MS in Electronics Engineering
- 15yrs + experience in electronics engineering
- Solid program management capabilities
- Demonstrated capabilities in leading external resources through project execution
