Global consumer goods company is seeking a Director of PF&A/ Strategy to join their dynamic team, responsible for driving strategy development. This is an excellent opportunity to apply and enhance skills in strategy finance and competitive intelligence, managing data and information to ensure complete, accurate and compliant information as well as strategic projects.
Assist in the conceptualization proposal and development of strategic initiatives to assist in the development of corporate as well as business unit strategies.
Market research and competitive opportunities, problem solving and executive presentation and capabilities gaps.
Oversees ongoing financial and trend analysis to evaluate company performance – develops key performance metrics to drive financial and strategic objectives
Oversees analysis of product line performance and profitability including sales and marketing programs, inventory, pricing and competitive environment
Drives continuous improvement of profitability through recommendations for resource allocation, competitive analysis and marketing/sales program structure
Implements the company’s strategic planning and forecasting process including the development of annual operating budgets and forecasts
Provides analytical support for business strategy and attainment of revenue and profit targets including share, pricing, volume, revenue and profit
Manages large, mission critical strategic and tactical analytical projects across a wide variety of products, markets, and subjects
Leads a team of highly competent, experienced professionals
To be considered you must have the following qualifications:
Excellent analytical skills in a breadth of business areas: market sizing and forecasting, product development, market research, new product/market evaluation, marketing strategy, consumer behavior, and segmentation
Experience with B2B, B2C, retail, on-line, and distribution/reseller channels
Familiarity with key market research techniques and their appropriate usage
Experience with forecasting, budget development, variance tracking, KPI development and tracking
Seasoned presenter experienced with presenting directly to executive leadership on a regular basis.
Demonstrated track record of coaching and developing teams that achieve results
Experience with business in both North America and South -fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese a plus
Minimum of 15 + years of experience with 7 + years in business planning, budgeting, financial analysis, and strategy, preferably for a consumer or technology products company
Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business, Math, or other quantitative degree required; CPA and/or MBA with finance/marketing concentration preferred
Ability to travel up to 15%, domestic and international
