The Finance Director leads the business performance management processes for the entire division, which comprises of 9 states and includes wines and spirits. The individual is responsible for the divisional P&L delivery, pricing strategy and execution, broker management as well as financial planning, reporting and accounting processes. The individual is key member of the divisional leadership team and the control finance leadership team. He/She will directly lead a high potential team of 3 finance individuals. |
Key responsibilities include:
Business Performance Management Processes: which includes commercial and financial analysis and insight generation to support and drive decision making that enables delivery of financial and share targets
Financial planning processes: that include R&O processes, AOP, LE etc
Broker Management processes: includes embedding BPM processes with broker (cross months depletions planning, BPM review, reporting and transactional processes)
Pricing Decision Making and Execution working with GM, sales and marketing team to ensure we are optimizing pricing across brand and geographic portfolio. Embedding pre and post pricing M&E processes. Managing proposed price structures/deal levels with open distributor
Financial Reporting and Transactional processes: Depletions reporting, Trade Spend, A&P and overheads reporting versus budgets, Broker payments etc.
Net Sales: $450M
Trading profit: $250M
- Direct Reports: 3 (2 Level 5 Finance Manager; 1 Level 6 Financial Analyst)
- Incumbent reports to Control States Finance VP, but has very close relationship with market GM
Complexity of Role:
-Market complexity: Eight West Control states + 1 open state
- Role requires significant level of collaboration and influence between functions within division as well as the broad Finance community (Control/Corporate)
- Broker and distributor management (must be able to influence externally)
- Commercial and Pricing knowledge
- Decision Support capability
-BA/BS in area responsibility required and 8-10 plus years of increasing financial and commercial experience. MBA/CPA preferred.
