JOB DESCRIPTION MorganFranklin’s dynamic Public sector practice is based in McLean, VA, and provides opportunities for you to become part of a high-quality team that delivers innovative solutions to key Public Sector agencies. As a result of our continued growth in the Public Sector, we are currently looking for an Audit Director candidate with extensive Big-4 experience to help lead and support our practice. This is a rare opportunity to join a fast growing and proven Consulting Firm at a senior level. The Audit Director will be responsible for developing and leading capture and service delivery of solutions to complex problems for Public Sector clients.

This includes providing and delivering exceptional client service in Audit Readiness and Remediation Support, OMB A-123, Improper Payments and other Federal Financial Management support focused on surpassing expectations at our federal clients that will make a difference in their ability to achieve audit readiness, increase efficiency, enhance productivity, and improve controls while advancing their critical missions. The Audit Director will have deep knowledge and experience in CFO Act Audits, the Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller), Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Plan and other compliance requirements such as Government Accountability Office (GAO) Federal Audit Manual (FAM) and Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM), OMB A-123, OMB A-136 and a broad range of knowledge across the federal financial management environment. The Director is expected to generate business, recruit staff, manage client relationships, work collaboratively with others and build teams capable of delivering world-class solutions to Finance, IT and Operational challenges. The Managing Director will fulfill the following duties and responsibilities: The successful candidate is responsible for all phases of client engagements; works closely with Managing Directors and staff on client management, practice development and business development; helps manage the delivery of solutions; and contributes to the overall growth of the practice.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, and with strong analytical and organizational skills with the aptitude/experience for developing business in the Public sector. JOB DUTIES: The Audit Director will fulfill the following duties and responsibilities: • Performs audits and audit readiness functions for our Public sector clients • Manages practice development and staff career development activities • Contributes to resource management and practice profitability • Performs valuations, research, reconciliations and testing of accounting transactions • Performs financial statement analysis and support • Develops long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally on a local and national level • Executes OMB A-123, FMFIA, FFMIA, internal control testing and review • Performs Project Management activities • Assist in the continuous improvement of audit processes SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • 14+ years of Audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 or large multinational consulting/accounting firm • Adherence to the highest degree of professional standards • Experience leading, managing and directing multiple engagements including CFO Act Audits, OMB A-123 internal controls compliance, and/or federal financial statement preparation and analysis • Proven experience developing a practice area and in developing teams • Experience with CFO Act Audits, Department of Defense’s Financial Management Regulation (FMR) and knowledge of federal regulations such as OMB A-11, A-123, A-136 et al… • Experience with the Statements of Federal Financial Accounting Standards of the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASB) • Knowledge of DoD financial processes, statutes and regulations • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including MS Project and MS Visio ADDITIONAL REQUIRED TRAITS: • Collaborative team-building skills; excellent listening skills • High integrity, follow-through, and detail orientation • Ability to build trust and quickly establish credibility with all levels of an organization • Ability to work independently; flexible style and approach • Strong organizational skills; outstanding written and oral presentation skills EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS: • BA/BS required in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field • CPA required • CDFM or CGFM a plus • MBA a plus CLEARANCES Secret or higher preferred. All candidates must have the ability to obtain clearance. OTHER Work location: Metropolitan Washington, D.C.
