Description of Position: The Foster and Adoptive Care PRIDE Training Program director will be involved in development of training programs and in overseeing all aspects of contract compliance and budget allocations. This position will collaborate with the Program Coordinator from DCFS in all matters of program operations and assurance of quality of trainings. This position will also coordinate with Training Specialists and university Human Resources offices.

Responsibilities of the Position : This position will be responsible for the management of the program, authoring and disseminating program information, establishing and maintaining records systems and coordinating personnel matters, and ensuring all contract and budget reports are prepared and submitted as required. This position will participate in Field Support implementation, workgroup and management meetings, and will require statewide travel.

Requirements of Candidate:

  • MSW from an accredited School of Social Work with five (5) years post MSW experience.
  • Must have program development background and experience in developing child welfare programs.
  • Must have five years experience in administration of grants/contracts.
  • Must have five years experience supervising employees.
  • Preference will be given for two or more years administration or management in a regional or statewide program.
  • Appointment and Salary: This is a full time term appointment through the end of the fiscal year. Contingent on performance and available funding, reappointment may be possible. Salary is commensurate with experience and background.
