Under general direction of the Vice President, Global Human Resources Operations, serves as the HR business partner to functional areas within Corporate in order to plan, implement and evaluate HR initiatives that support the overall business strategy of the Company. Plans, directs, and manages human resources policies and activities such as compensation, benefits, training, associate relations and communications for associates in the Corporate Office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Works with functional leaders as a business partner to design, develop and implement policies and programs that ensure the success of the business strategy and objectives.
Develops and maintains a strong HR presence at the Corporate office by proactively reaching out and partnering with department heads relative to associate relations activities.
Works closely with Corporate Compensation and functional leaders to ensure that compensation practices are externally competitive and administered equitably and accurately; ensures increase recommendations for the corporate functions are in line with company guidance by working closely with department heads during the merit increase cycles; supports quarterly and annual incentive plan payout and processes.
Works closely with functional leaders to ensure performance management practices are consistent, complete and regular coaching and counseling sessions are taking place and documented.
Works with functional management and associates to provide guidance and policy interpretation to a variety of complex issues such as employment, discipline and termination that ensures compliances with the Company's standards of fairness and that are in compliance with federal, state and local regulations.
Works with Corporate Benefits, management and associates to educate and administer associate benefit programs.
Works with functional leaders to design, develop and implement organization structures and processes that promote efficiency, associate commitment and ensure the achievement of the business strategy.
Works with HR Recruitment and Staffing to design/develop and implement long/short term recruiting and retention strategies, which identify and source high quality talent in a timely and cost effective manner.
Works with HR Leadership to assess, recommend and implement both corporate-wide and department specific management and associate development, training and change initiatives that support the business strategy.
Contributes to associate events in order to boost morale and create associate satisfaction.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Experience and Education Requirements
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor's degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires a minimum of six (6) years related and progressively responsible experience. Normally requires a professional license or certificate in specialized field; Professional Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) preferred; MA/MBA a plus.
