Some Examples of Responsibilities:
â€¢ Leads, supports, and develops HR staff.
â€¢ Develops, implements, evaluates, and directs recruitment and selection process, orientation, and retention programs. Ensures employment practices are followed.
â€¢ Administers the performance evaluation process to ensure that job descriptions are current, competencies are completed annually, and evaluations are done in a timely manner.
â€¢ Investigates disputes and disciplinary actions. Defends the organization against claims of unemployment and other legal claims.
â€¢ Assumes responsibility for successfully complying with federal, state, and local employment and industry laws and regulations in all areas of HR oversight.
â€¢ Consults with and provides guidance to directors/managers/leadership team on a wide range of staff areas including recruitment, disciplinary action, performance improvement, policies and procedures, conflict resolution, and terminations.
Education: Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Hospital Administration is required, Masterâ€™s Degree preferred.
Experience: Five (5) years previous job related experience of which one (1) year must be in a management role; Relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for one another in accordance to policy
License/certification: PHR/SPHR preferred.
