Position Duties: Reporting to the Vice President of Administration & Finance, the Director, ITC, provides overall technology leadership for Minot State University; plans, manages, and maintains the campus information technology infrastructure; organizes and implements major programs and policies; supervises the work of department technical staff; and performs related professional, technical, supervisory, and administrative/budgeting work as required.
Selection Criteria: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required. Master's degree preferred. Five years of related experience is required; preference for experience in Higher Education. Experience must include IT staff supervision, budgeting experience, technology procurement, technical troubleshooting skills, experience working with electronics and digital equipment, ability to work independently and conduct research to identify resolutions, specialized knowledge of data center/LAN (wired and wireless) administration, server hardware, and operating system support (Windows and Mac), knowledge of Internet, TCP/IP protocols, VoIP, and a working knowledge of Windows Server OS, Exchange, Lync, Active Directory, Blackboard LMS, document imaging, and network/data security. Position requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, good writing and oral communications and the ability to deal effectively and interact positively with various types of people. A criminal history background check must be satisfied prior to employment.
