For over twenty years, the International Youth Foundation (IYF) has sought to tell a new story about the role young people play in our world. IYF was founded on the notion that a wealth of knowledge about effective youth development programs exists, but far too few youth-serving NGOs benefit from such expertise due to a scarcity of resources and a lack of sustained, coordinated action. To address that need, IYF has built an international network of organizations all working to ensure that youth across the globe are able to receive quality education, learn the skills needed to gain employment, and become engaged citizens. As the leading international youth development organization working with NGOs, businesses and governments, IYF identifies what works, brings it to scale, and makes the case for youth to the broadest audience possible.

Through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual prospects, the Director, Major Gifts will be accountable for planning, implementing, growing, and evaluating part of the overall development program at IYF.
