Job Family Summary
Responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Manufacturing function.
The Ontario manufacturing plant site leader will be responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Global Operations function.
The successful candidate will be high energy and customer-oriented; will have impeccable leadership credentials and will likely be hands-on and with a proven track record of top results. Driven, motivated, responsive, proactive, data oriented, intelligent and articulate he / she will also possess credible, demonstrable team building and change management skills.
What is expected of you and others at this level in Manufacturing for functional success:
Provides leadership to 5-6 Managers; may also manage first-line supervisors and/or professional staff; total indirect staff of approximately 200 in plastic injection molding manufacturing
Develops financial and operational objectives
Ensures operational plans are aligned with business objectives and strategy
Contributes to functional strategy development
Ability to interface with other functions and other manufacturing sites within the CFN network
Leads the daily execution of the manufacturing site to meet all stakeholder expectations for quality, order fulfillment, total cost management, and budget management. Develops all elements of the financial plan for the operations department and effectively meeting the plan.
Drives improvement in operational effectiveness and efficiency and the implementation of lean manufacturing processes, continuous improvement programs, including championing the Continuous Improvement program.
Insures that the Manufacturing facility operates in compliance with all local, state, federal and international regulations and ordinances including FDA, ISO, OSHA, EEO, EPA, etc. and applicable CareFusion policies and procedures.

Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical related field required, advanced degree and/or MBA preferred
Demonstrated leadership experience in Class II, III medical device manufacturing
10 years managment experience required, including 5 years of plant management experience within a manufacturing environment
5 years of experience in high volume plastic injection molding and automated assembly experience
Proven track record of success and improvement in a high level manufacturing environment
Fluency in Spanish highly desired
Experience in Ops Excellence (Lean Six Sigma)
Developing business-specific strategies with a track record of successful implementations
Experience with planning, logistics, warehousing and distribution, an advantage
