The National Accounts Director will serve as the lead point of contact for account management activities within assigned corporate accounts. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that Healthpoint is appropriately positioned with key channel customers in order to facilitate representative access within assigned accounts as well as the availability to commercial brands. In addition, the National Account Director will be responsible for developing business relationships with key corporate decision makers to meet their economic and clinical needs. This role will also be responsible for developing, managing, and executing account business plans that contribute to Healthpoint’s overall revenue growth.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
Maintain and improve access to targeted channel accounts as identified by the commercial organization (nursing home corporate chain organizations, managed long-term acute care accounts, managed wound care centers, visiting physician group organizations, and 3 rd party billing organizations)
Establish relationships with high level corporate decision makers/influencers to create company-wide endorsement of Healthpoint’s commercial brands
Master and effectively communicate clinical and economic advantages to produce accelerated sales
Analyze and understand the overall healthcare/wound care environment, the account’s specific business objectives, and align Healthpoint’s priorities to create customized account plans that contribute to the business success of the commercial organization
Monitor progress within target accounts and key channels to construct/enact action plans as appropriate to manage the business (coordinate/direct home-office HECON, clinical, and reimbursement resources; negotiate/monitor corporate contracts; manage key relationships, etc)
Work closely with Sales and Marketing departments ensure the appropriate level of cross-functional support in developing and executing pull-through strategies
Adhere to all compliance, regulatory and company guidelines
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university
A minimum of 5 years of medical sales, sales management, and/or account management experience (either at a regional or national level)
Proven track record of sales success
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively present key concepts and recommendations to management in formal and informal settings
Strong analytical & negotiation skills
Comprehension of financial reports, documents and statements
Strategic skills (includes visioning) and the ability to translate strategy into executable tasks.
Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus
Strong organizational skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple, conflicting tasks
Demonstrated leadership, especially the ability to motivate others
Demonstrated creativity, self motivated, and a team player
Excellent computer skills in a minimum of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & MS Outlook
Energy and passion to do what needs to be done with a track record of execution & results
Strong influence management and negotiation skills with the ability to interface and impact people in a positive manner.
