Job Overview: Responsible for leading a management team with accountability for overall business performance of Nutrition Operations. Contribute significantly to the strategic direction of the Nutrition Operations business, including establishment of realistic production goals, development and execution of annual operating plans, and routine analysis of business performance. Develop systems to ensure continued growth of both leadership and technical capacities of all Team members. Ensure implementation of Best Management Practices that drive productivity, optimize efficiency, promote sustainability, and safeguard the well-being of our animals and employees.

Collaborate with and closely align with other departments to consistently deliver best-in-class quality production resources and services to our customers. Job Duties & Accountabilities Typical Duties of the Director, Nutrition Operations include: 1. Fiduciary Responsibility a.Develop annual operating and capital investment budget for Nutrition Operations.b.Routinely review and provide critical analysis of budget reports summarizing cost and revenue with aim of improving profit with key stakeholders.c.Lead the development and management of systems that drive analysis and communication of business unit metrics and company goals.d.Identify and focus operations strategy on key process control points that drive profitability. 2.

Strategic Planning and Program Executiona.Provide input in shaping the strategic direction of business model through the annual planning process. b.Develop and oversee the execution of the annual operating plan that drives the long-term strategic objectives of the company.c.Responsible for company safety initiatives via proper training and program execution.d.Ensure execution of best management practices for feed production facilities.e.Implement principles of total quality management in feed production.f.Oversee procurement strategy for feed resources that support cutting edge pig nutrition practices.g.Develop systems to ensure rapid delivery and adoption of research innovation within Nutrition Operations department. 3. Team Leadershipa.Provide direct leadership to the Nutrition Operations team through strong communication, active goal setting, and routine coaching of management behaviors consistent with company core values.b.Establish a formal performance management program for all departmental employees to drive performance, reinforce positive behaviors, and enhance leadership.c.Establish training programs to develop human functional and behavioral competencies within the department.d.Align closely with Human Resources to analyze ongoing workforce needs and define programs to recruit, hire, on-board, and retain qualified personnel that supports 10% annualized growth.

4. Sustainability and Stewardship a.Ensure that all best management practices are consistent with commonly accepted standards for animal welfare and safety. b.Responsible for verifying feed production is conducted in a manner that safeguards the environment and maintains regulatory compliance.c.Proactively engage in public relations and public policy opportunities to help build and protect the Maschhoff brand image. 5.

Customer Servicea.Collaborate and closely align with other company departments to consistently and efficiently deliver best-in-class quality production resources and services to customers.b.Contribute to strengthening relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.c.Participate actively in development and maintenance of a customer service and feed mill index system to proactively ensure long-term customer satisfaction and business success.d.Develop and maintain a site auditing and corrective action system to identify and solve problems.e.Strengthen customer responsiveness by encouraging production management to streamline prioritization of service needs, farm troubleshooting, and resolution of necessary corrective actions.f.Contribute to strengthening relationships with Production Partners.
