The Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services' Office of Information Services and Technology (IS&T) is seeking a skilled professional to serve as the director of the DBHDS electronic health records system (EHRS), OneMind. Oversees all facets of the EHRS implementation, ongoing operations and maintenance of OneMind and OneMind evolution following its transition to production operation. The OneMind Support and Services function consists of 25 ? 30 full-time staff encompassing Clinical (Business) Analysts, Interface and System Build/Configuration Specialists, and First Response (Help Desk) support functions. OneMind Support and Services staff provide day-to-day technical support for over 1300 healthcare delivery staff including Physicians, Psychiatrists, Nurses, Social Workers, Pharmacists, and other hospital-based roles. The technical support provided by OneMind Support and Services staff encompasses: all analysis and development work to configure and modify OneMind to evolve as required to meet changing business needs; all interfaces between OneMind and current and future financial reimbursement, pharmacy, laboratory, and dietary systems that support healthcare delivery within the DBHDS; all 3rd party vendor management required to maintain and operate OneMind and its interdependent systems.
The Director of OneMind Support and Services must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to:
?Manage Category 1 projects as defined by Virginia Information Technology Agency (VITA) Project Management Division
?Manage and/or interact with support staff possessing:
oClinical licenses such as Physicians, Nurses, and Social Workers
oSoftware technical skills such as Business Analysts, Software Developers, and Help Desk
oData analysis and reporting skills
?Manage multiple Vendor relationships for vendors providing services costing up to a few million dollars per year
?Interact regularly with DBHDS executives and leadership including:
oChief Medical Officer
oChief Medical Information Officer
oChief Financial Officer
VITA PMD certification for Level 1 ( > $1M) projects and PMI certification as a PMP. Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience. Considerable experience in the field of healthcare information technology with several years of electronic health records implementation experience in a multi-entity healthcare system (ambulatory, hospital, etc.). Strong knowledge and experience of government project management policies and procedures. Superior oral and written communications skills.
