Internet Brands is looking for strategic, innovative leadership for one of our growing website verticals. These verticals are portfolios of leading websites comprised of directory listings, community forums, and niche content, and could include such sites as Dentists.org, eHealthForum, HealthBoards, SoberRecovery, VeinDirectory and many others. This role involves managing the P&L for the vertical and all of the day-to-day business operations, as well as setting on-going strategic direction and prioritizing activities for the division.
We are looking for someone with passion, energy, intellect and drive that can bring fresh ideas, an analytical mind and a dedication to growing a portfolio of niche sites within a specialty category. This is a great opportunity for a strong general management professional with an eye for excellent web product, experience managing medium to large teams, and a passion for consumer facing web properties.
Manage employees and contractors responsible for day-to-day operations of sites: sales, customer service, account management, content creation, product development, etc.
Build expert-level understanding of the vertical consumer space, and how our portfolio of sites can maintain and grow their leadership positions.
Build relationships and partnerships to help expand exposure and success of portfolio.
Set and manage to a strict set of site performance goals including traffic and monetization.
Help with due diligence and transition activities associated with new website acquisitions.
Help set strategic direction for portfolio of sites.
Drive prioritization and product development activities associated with site features and functionality.
Demonstrated experience growing traffic and revenue associated with web properties.
Experience working closely with and/or leading a diverse, professional sales team.
Clear leadership characteristics and success in reaching goals through team management.
Capable of building strong industry relationships.
Familiarity with web technologies and how to manage feature development.
Strong initiative and willingness to approach work with a sense of urgency.
Web-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Bachelors degree; MBA a plus.
