The Director, Physician Practice Solutions (PPS) has overall responsibility for ensuring the suitability and effectiveness of clinical electronic tools (electronic medical record, practice management system, patient portal and health information exchange solution) within BTMG physician practices. This includes product strategy and management, as well as oversight of deployment and optimization functions. This position engages internal and external stakeholders (clinical leaders, executive management, IT, vendors) through a clinical systems governance process to ensure strategic and tactical alignment of clinical systems with clinical and organizational needs. The PPS Director also has primary responsibility for managing concurrent system implementations, ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers. This includes effective resource allocation, risk mitigation and issues management.
Provides leadership and direction to the EHR Product Specialist and Manager of Physician Practice Solutions.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the successful development and execution of a clinical e tools product strategy that encompasses end user needs.
Define and manage a clinical e tools product roadmap that includes prioritization and timing of system enhancements and upgrades.
Serve as Project Owner for project efforts related to clinical e tools.
Have oversight responsibility for e tools deployment, optimization and training functions
Ensure user adoption and satisfaction by dissemination of best practices through the deployment and optimization programs.
Coordinate with IT to prioritize major live issues and other product-related issues.
Work with stakeholders to develop and manage e tools communications.
Provide ownership to E Tools Internal Steering Committee.
Contribute to the on-going development and adherence to the E Tools Governance Structure.
Initiate and develop new services, business processes, information systems, and policies and procedures which support the work functions and contribute to the realization of established organizational and PPS department goals.
Provide appropriate customer support and consultative services to physician clients that maximizes the value realization of PPS products and services to the practice.
Develop, implement, and maintain a quality control system that demonstrates whether PPS service objectives are being met in conformity with previously approved goals, standards of completion, and scheduled completion dates.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum of five years of business-end healthcare systems implementation, administration, support and/or training Clinical systems product strategy and management
Manage multiple implementation teams concurrently
SME in system functionality and operations to effectively manage risks and issues
Ability to clearly communicate vision, goals, initiatives and expectations to stakeholders
Minimum of four years of management experience (which includes managing employees)
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience and training
Masters degree in business administration or health administration preferred
