The Director, Physician Services is responsible for assisting in the execution and oversight of strategic plans for a specific client/Joint venture (JV) physician practice organization. Assists with the integration between the Management Services Organization (MSO) and practice operations. Helps ensure the business relationship is managed and that contracted services optimized.

The Director partners with MedSynergies senior leadership and the client’s senior leadership to assist in monitoring of client performance against established benchmarks, and overseeing the implementation of improvements strategies as needed.
  • Assists in the assessment of Joint Venture’s (JV) existing environment and design and development MedSynergies’ business plan for providing services which correlate to the JV’s revenue growth.Manages tactical business plans which align with the overall strategic objectives of JV.
  • Manages the P&L for the business and ensures physician engagement and alignment.
  • Responsible for all aspects of operations for clinics in assigned market including patient satisfaction, quality, physician engagement, and personnel management.
  • Conducts analysis and reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) which measure the JV’s progress against strategic objectives, provides direction to ensure MedSynergies is meeting and exceeding client expectations.
  • Collaborates with MedSynergies and client senior leadership and provides leadership in developing and maintaining productive relationships between the JV, MedSynergies, physicians, the local health system sponsor, and the client parent organization. Facilitates cross organizational communications, coordination and transparency.
  • Ensures Regional Managers effectively collaborate with Managed Services Functional Leads to ensure service requirements are understood and the company is positioned to successfully deliver to the client.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Excellent skills in customer relationship management and maximization of revenue opportunities.
  • Proven track record in planning, organizing, and managing change.
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and business analytics platforms.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • Proven people management skills.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in a leadership role in a client service/clinic operations environment.
  • 3+ years' supervisory experience.
  • Must be available for travel as much as 50% of the time or relocation.
