Provides seasoned leadership, to the Business Units and Sales, in the areas of pricing and analytics. Primary focus areas include pricing and trade spending management. Position is responsible for implementing the long-term vision for a step-change in organization discipline and rigor through the adoption of sustained, foundational analytic plans and tools. As part of this vision, this position directly influences trade productivity outcomes through on-going measurement, analysis and activation of pricing and trade spending plans to significantly improve the effectiveness and efficiency of these investments.

  • Strategic thought leader to BU and customer teams in the areas of trade and pricing analytics
  • Identifies and address key business issues relating to pricing (price points, gaps) and trade by customer by brand
  • Establishes aspirational long-term vision for group to achieve strategic analytic objectives
  • Develops structured approach to pricing and trade tools, protocols and review cadence
  • Monitors external environment (e.g., consumers, customers) for changes (e.g., costs, strategies, economy etc.) that signal adjustments to plans and leads the effective inculcation of these adjustments with the teams
  • Maintain a systematic and sustained evaluation of category, portfolio, brand and customer business drivers
  • Develops team into high-performing unit capable of both supporting current and advancing a future state agenda
  • Serves as a direct point of contact with external suppliers (e.g., IRI) in support of analytic projects
  • Helps to lead business situation assessment fundamentals on an on-going basis

  • Intimate knowledge of industry tools such as IRI/Nielsen; NPD; Trade planning software
  • Outstanding analytic skills – track record in multiple areas such as trade, pricing and general business
  • Consumer/Shopper insights experience/knowledge base
  • Financial knowledge (e.g., P&L)
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • 5 - 10 years of experience – Specifically in the area of Pricing (price size architechture)
  • Consumer packaged goods background or related industry with demonstrated ability to assume higher levels of responsibility
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field required; economics or statistics degrees preferred
