The Director, Program Management is responsible for strategic initiatives for Prudential's Group Insurance Business. This position is responsible for leading large scale initiatives and is accountable for the results. The incumbent will plan and implement multiple programs / projects across the organization. This position is responsible for coordinating business requirements, project scope and plans, allocation and coordination of resources, budget planning, user training, development of innovative solutions, and reporting / tracking results. The Director interacts with cross business groups and senior management. Successful candidates typically have 4 to 6 years of project management and/or business related experience.
Manage and lead members of cross functional teams
Lead large, cross functional initiatives as well as change / transformation efforts for the Group Insurance business with accountability for results
Effectively manage all initiative phases to include strategic planning
Actively manage the prioritization and interdependencies of key projects and milestones
Proactively manage risks and the change management processes for each assigned initiative
Actively track and communicate status for key initiatives
Maintain consistent portfolio, program, and project management tools
Enhance project management skills across the Group Insurance organization
Develop and deliver effective presentations to senior leaders
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Strong business acumen
People leadership: demonstrated ability in managing and influencing others not within the direct reporting lines
4 to 6 years experience in leading large-scale initiatives such as portfolio, program, and project management
Desirable experience in Operations Management or Information Systems Management
Ability to effectively work with all levels of an organization
Experienced in change management processes
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, partnership, and communications skills
Business analysis and process redesign skills
Budget management and staff modeling experience
