Researches and develops policy and programs associated with the creation of best practices and models of entrepreneurship economic development; oversees multiple entrepreneurship programs and staff, providing program and financial administration; and manages stakeholder relations to support entrepreneurial development.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Public Administration or related field required.
At least ten years of experience in progressively advanced levels of field work and program development, resulting in successful entrepreneurial programs, publications or accepted public policy associated with entrepreneurship economic development required. At least five years of experience with public sector funding development such as grant writing, successful contracts, or program income generation, fiscal administration, and staff management required. Direct experience with business startup, commercialization, and recruitment of talent in an entrepreneurial venture also required. Significant evening and weekend work as well as in- and out-of-state travel will be necessary.
State or federal legislative interaction resulting in appropriations of public funding for program operations preferred. Experience in a higher education or state or federal setting also preferred.
