Job Purpose (Job Summary):

The overall purpose of this position is to oversee the process and team responsible for updating and maintaining client and consultant web portals with information about Invesco’s products and services. The role works to represent Invesco’s investment capabilities and value proposition to current and future institutional and platform clients and consultants within third-party databases and industry surveys.

Key Responsibilities / Duties :
Oversee a team of data specialists and ensure that Invesco’s products and services are well-positioned in third-party databases
Work as part of a cross-functional team with IT, Operations, Finance and Portfolio Management to facilitate the development and execution of automated data gathering and inputting
Work closely with the Consultant Relations team to ensure that sales objectives are understood and supported
Serve as the primary point of contact for database administrators at key consulting firms
Ensure consistency of data across multiple marketing mediums
Identify, evaluate and implement automated processes to improve the timeliness of data updates and mitigate errors §
Measure on time delivery; identify workflow defects and recommend process improvements §
Ensure all month-end and quarter-end data is accurately reflected and ensure all product changes are gathered and reflected in internal and external systems
Keep up-to-date with database structures, industry trends and consultant ratings
Make recommendations to improve existing product functionality
Work Experience / Knowledge: §

5 plus years of relevant work experience in investment management industry, preferably in Marketing or Sales §

Strong knowledge of the asset management industry, investment products and the institutional sales process §

Strong understanding of investment related data (e.g. holdings based characteristics, GIPS composites/performance requirements, etc). §

Experience working with consultant databases and a knowledge of RFPs and questionnaires §

Management experience also preferred

Specialized skills: §

This is a highly autonomous role where the incumbent must possess the ability to be self-sufficient §

Advanced computer skills including Excel (pivot tables), MS Access, MS Word, and PowerPoint §

Proven analytical skills with the ability to handle statistical information §

Excellent organizational skills §

Resourceful in gathering key information §

Ability to work well in a team environment, as well as to handle multiple concurrent assignments, work independently, and assume personal responsibility for deliverables §

Ability to effectively manage new projects, existing maintenance, shifting priorities, and multiple tasks §

Excellent verbal and written communication skills §

Ability to adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects §

Must also have the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail §

Demonstrates drive and initiative; Willingness to tackle new challenges §

Ability to manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously §

Exhibits strong judgment and decision-making ability

Formal Education: §

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Communications preferred or equivalent years of direct experience required

License/Registration/Certification: §


Working Conditions: §

Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust and temperatures. §

The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary. §

Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment. §

Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hour a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone.
