The Director Regional New Business Development is responsible for pursuing and closing key sales opportunities within assigned markets.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1.) Pursue and close key sales opportunities and manage the sales process. Target prospects are mortgage bankers, banks, credit unions and lenders.
2.) Territory management:
-Network and maintain contacts with sales reps from Account Management, Correspondent Lenders, Wholesale Lenders, and other relevant contact sources.
-Submit all necessary paperwork on a timely basis, including expense reports, requests for competitive intelligence, sales plans, and other administrative reporting.
-Attend company events and meetings.
-Complete required online course work each quarter for new product introduction and for personal growth achievement.
3.) Coordinate with account managers/operational personnel at Radian to execute on customer service and other client needs at all levels of customer’s company to get business to targeted “win” amount
4.) Manage contract underwriting, training, and other Radian “value add” services with prospects and underperforming accounts.
5.) Ensure smooth transition of customers from Business Development to Account Management
6.) Other related duties as assigned, including selling other mortgage insurance related products and services as required
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Highly experienced in mortgage lending sales .
- Significant experience working with complex customers in MI space.
- Strong sales background – consultative selling and relationship management
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to tactically build relationships within organizations of all sizes
