Our client a leading regional healthcare provider in Southern California is seeking a Revenue Cycle (RC) Director for their facility located in Apple Valley CA The RC Director is responsible for planning and overseeing all revenue cycle services This individual manages site revenue cycle operations while enforcing system level policies and procedures The Revenue Cycle Director establishes priorities and metrics and is accountable for meeting service level agreements The Revenue Cycle Director is the revenue cycle expert and oversees inquiry resolution The person holding this position is also responsible for implementing performance improvement and operational initiatives and ensuring staff adherence to productivity quality and compliance standards Essential Functions Direct the Revenue Cycle functions including Registration ED Registration Financial Counseling and HIM departments Approve departmental goals and objectives Ensure goals will meet health system targets for registration accuracy point of service cash collections and charity care Liaise with departmental leadership to resolve Revenue Cycle related issues and complete relationship management Oversee annual budget preparation for Revenue Cycle Departments and justify variances from the budgeted level as necessary Oversee the establishment of performance standards for area of responsibility monitors and controls productivity and encourages innovations Analyze identified problems to determine cause and implement resolution Review personnel productivity reports for quantity and quality of registration eligibility and verification ad provide feedback to the Revenue Cycle leadership Develop program recommendations procedures for improved operations modifications to andor implementations of new procedures Enforce all policies and procedures relating to assigned departmental functions and monitor Revenue Cycle metrics Ensure the orientation development and compliance with ongoing training activities Establish long and shortterm unit goals and objectives to support department and facility strategic plan Additional Responsibilities Manage Revenue Cycle leadership relationships including Regional and System Revenue Cycle counterparts Keep up to date on healthcare provider industry trends Functional expert for all governed facility departments and offer insight and guidance on complex functional issues Conduct regularly scheduled Manager Meetings Review and approves selfpay discounts and charity accounts Ensures departmental and medical center policies regarding signature levels are followed Utilize knowledge of contractual constraints and federal and state regulations pertaining to patient access and monitors impact on medical center registrations and receivables Liaise with Coop and other Revenue Cycle leadership to address outstanding issues and mitigate business risk Coordinate with system level Revenue Cycle management to manage ongoing support functions training process optimization and related initiatives Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge Skills Abilities Working knowledge of the principles and fundamentals relating to budgeting accounting admitting laws record keeping and business writing Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships Knowledge of general administrative procedures that apply to functions such as personnel payroll and purchasing Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Strong computer and math skills required Demonstrated leadership in establishing and achieving goals Strong familiarity with medical terminology Excellent organizational skills Possess analytical skills necessary to evaluate the completeness of financial counseling insurance verification and authorization
