Position Title & Description:

EMA is a multi-site CCRC provider in the state of Maryland with over 30 years of experience in the retirement field. We are currently seeking a dynamic individual for a newly created position to lead our Sales and Marketing team at our Sykesville, MD community.

The Director of Sales & Marketing candidate will have a proven track record of garnering results through leading and motivating teams and removing obstacles to success. The candidate will also have the ability to proactively embrace challenges and new ideas. Strong leadership, management, decision-making, customer service, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and problem solving skills are also a must for the position. Candidate will be able to succeed through others using a proactive (not reactive) management style and possess excellent verbal/written communication skills. Demonstrated success in a management role and a willingness to confront mediocrity are required. Proficiency in MS Office required.

Minimum Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Two or more years of leadership and management experience.

Three or more years of sales and marketing experience required.

A proven track record of attaining and maintaining sales and marketing objectives and goals.

Essential Functions:

Day-to-day management of the sales operations, including management of the sales team, sales process and sales information.

Creating and setting monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals and developing strategies to achieve these sales objectives.

Regular training and performance management of all sales team members.

Understanding and implementing advertising and sales strategies and reporting results on a regular basis.

Motivational presentation to both small and large groups on a monthly or greater basis.

The implementation and management of a disciplined sales process to insure accurate data and accountability throughout the office.

Establishing a communication plan that is both effective and consistent for the sales team and the community management team, including accurately coordinating a process for reporting key market data on a regular basis to key community and corporate partners.

Developing productive working partnerships with the Executive Director, community leadership team and the corporate team.
